The Best Season (Fight Me)
Fall is objectively the best season. The weather is perfect - warm enough to be outside, cool enough to need a light jacket. The air smells different. The light has this golden quality. I will not be taking questions.
The countdown to fall starts the moment summer gets too hot. Around late August, I'm ready for sweater weather and pumpkin everything. This timer helps me remember that relief is coming.
Fall Bucket List
Things I try to do every fall before winter hits:
🍂 Leaf Peeping
Find a scenic drive or hike when the colors peak (usually mid-October in the north). Even just a walk through a park with changing trees counts.
🎃 Pumpkin Patch
Pick your own pumpkins. Yeah, the grocery store has them cheaper, but the experience is the point. Corn mazes, apple cider, the whole deal.
🏈 Football
Whether it's watching games or playing catch in the yard. Fall and football just go together. Tailgating if you're ambitious.
🔥 Bonfire
At least one night around a fire pit. S'mores optional but recommended. The cool air plus fire warmth is peak fall.
Why Fall Is Great for Productivity
Fresh Start Energy
School year conditioning never really leaves you. September feels like a reset button. New notebooks, new goals, back-to-work energy.
Perfect Working Weather
Not too hot to think, not too gloomy to focus. The temperature is ideal for sitting down and getting things done. Open the windows.
Fewer FOMO Distractions
Summer's endless stream of pool parties and beach trips is over. It's socially acceptable to stay in and work on projects. Embrace it.

- •Equinox means equal - day and night are roughly the same length on September 22-23. After that, nights start winning.
