When I Actually Use This Alarm
Honestly? Power naps. I set a 20-minute alarm, lie down on the couch, and let my laptop yell at me when it's time to get back to work. Beats sleeping through the afternoon.
I also use it as a backup when I have an important early meeting - one alarm on my phone, one in my browser. Paranoid? Maybe. But I've never missed a 6am call with a client in another timezone.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will the alarm work if I close my laptop lid?
Most laptops go to sleep when you close the lid, which will stop the alarm. Change your laptop settings to prevent sleep, or use an external monitor.
Can I use this as my main alarm clock?
We recommend using this as a backup or for naps. For your main morning alarm, a dedicated alarm clock or phone app is more reliable.
What happens when I snooze?
The alarm will ring again in 5 minutes. You can snooze as many times as needed or dismiss the alarm to stop it completely.
Are my alarms saved?
Yes, your alarms are saved in your browser's local storage. They'll be there when you come back, but only on the same browser and device.

Browser Alarm vs Phone Alarm
Phone alarms are great for waking up in the morning — they work with the screen off and survive restarts. But when you're already at your computer, opening a phone app feels like overkill. A browser alarm is right there where you're working. Set it, forget it, get back to what you were doing.
The sweet spot? Use both. Phone alarm for anything critical (morning wake-up, flight check-in). Browser alarm for everything else — nap timers, meeting reminders, cooking checks. Need a countdown instead? Try our countdown timer for that. Tracking time zones? Our world clock handles that.
